(Updated) One Piece 1044 Spoilers, Raw Scans, Release Date

Luffy has finally awakened the power of his Devil Fruit and activated ‘Gear 5‘ in One Piece 1044. We also got to know about how these Zoan-type fruits work from The Gorousei. Read about it in the detail in the sections below.

In the last chapter, we saw that Oven had arrived at Whole Cake Island. The narration declared Kaido the winner of the fight between Luffy and Kaido. We also saw an emotional farewell scene for the CP-0 agent and it looked like he is going to die soon. Kawamatsu asked all the Samurai to leave as soon as possible as there is no honor in burning to death.

Kaido came to the castle to announce his win and told everyone that Luffy is dead. Then Kaido told Momonosuke to give up. Kid and Law got the feeling that Luffy might have been defeated and they went to the battleground. Nami called Kaido a liar and a fight broke out there.

Momonosuke wanted to give up as he does not want to endanger anyone’s life. Yamato told her no and yelled ‘Let’s die together’. Then Zunesha said that he heard something he haven’t heard in the last 800 years and told Momonosuke that there is no doubt that Joy Boy is Back. Then we saw Luffy’s body and his straw hat melt.

One Piece 1044 raw scans and leaks have been released by the weekly leaker. There are two panels, the first panel shows Luffy who is laughing with a hand on his face while the other one shows Luffy with weird hair and eyes.

• But they failed to find the fruit.

• It seems like ‘Akuma no Mi’ ran away from their possession.
• A member of Gorousei argues that he is not crazy as these Zoan Fruits have a brain of their own.
• The Gorousei confirms that ‘Gomu Gomu no Mi’ is a Zoan-type fruit.
• Gorousei says that awakning of this fruit will give Luffy’s rubber body even more “strength” and “freedom”.
• It is said that this power is the most ridiculous power in the whole world.
• And the real name of the fruit is ‘Hito Hito no Mi’ (Human Human fruit).
• Luffy has awakened the power of his fruit and now it’s his ‘Gear 5‘.

• Luffy jumps real high and he looks like the Nika silhouette we have seen before.

• Then Luffy converts the ground into rubber in order to return a Bolo Breath to Kaido.
